Partnership
Already a signer of many sector agreements in the early 2000s, Confindustria Marmomacchine is in frequent contact with the Ministry of Economic Development as representative of the Italian stone/techno-stone industry, voicing the sector’s issues regarding industrial policy to develop the competitiveness of the associative business system and to protect and valorize the excellence of this sector of the Made in Italy.
Confindustria Marmomacchine also works with the ministry to define policies for sector internationalization and the foreign promotion of sector products, as well as all the topics concerning foreign trade and its simplification.
For many years Confindustria Marmomacchine has worked with the Ministry of Economic Development to create the Special Program for the Made in Italy in favor of the stone industry.
Over time, Confindustria Marmomacchine has engaged in a series of projects with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, organizing events to support the positioning of the Italian techno-stone industry on especially complex markets like Afghanistan and Myanmar.
In close synergy with the network of Italian embassies worldwide and with the network of ICE offices, Confindustria Marmomacchine has frequent contacts with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to promote, develop and consolidate the foreign relations of the Italian stone/techno-stone industry.
Together with ICE-Italian Trade Agency, Confindustria Marmomacchine defines technical-promotional work in support of the Italian stone/techno stone industry, jointly devising ordinary and special promotional plans for the Made in Italy.
Foreign operator incomings, international missions, collective exhibits at the main foreign tradeshows and technical-professional education programs (such as Technological Centers and Quarry Schools) are the main projects demonstrating the cooperation between the association and ICE to promote the sector internationally.
CONFINDUSTRIA is the main confederation representing Italy’s manufacturing and services companies. To Confindustria voluntarily belong more than 150,000 small, medium-sized and large enterprises, for a total of 5,438,513 employees. The confederation’s mission is to promote enterprise as the driver of the country’s economic, social and civil growth. From this standpoint it defines common paths and – in respect for contexts of autonomy and influence – shares objectives and projects with the worlds of economics and finance, of national, European and international institutes, of government, of social partners, of culture and research, of science and technology, of politics, information and civil society.
Confindustria Marmomacchine has been an active member of CONFINDUSTRIA since 2004. In CONFINDUSTRIA our association represents the producers and processors of marbles, granites and other natural stones and the makers of machines, installations, tools and complementary products to extract and process them. As representative of management for the entire Italian stone industry, the association is also a signatory of the collective national labor contract for the stone industry.

Sostiene e promuove l’ampliamento del mercato, la legalità, l’innovazione, la qualità, la sicurezza, la rigenerazione, la sostenibilità del costruire e la digitalizzazione della filiera delle costruzioni.

CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE aderisce a FEDERMACCHINE
FEDERMACCHINE è la federazione nazionale delle associazioni dei produttori di beni strumentali destinati allo svolgimento di processi manifatturieri dell’industria e dell’artigianato.
FEDERMACCHINE è un riferimento per gli utilizzatori di ogni parte del mondo. In essa confluiscono 12 Associazioni industriali attive in svariati comparti del mercato: macchine marmo, macchine utensili, macchine per legno, tessile plastica, ceramica, laterizi, vetro, calzature, gomma, packaging.
In order to aid the internationalization process of its member companies, for quite some time Confindustria Marmomacchine has been in consolidated partnership with the SACE SIMEST export hub for the purpose of increasing the knowledge and use of SACE SIMEST (and subsidiary SACE SRV, SACE FCT AND SACE BT) instruments, aiding members in accessing them. In particular, SACE SIMEST offers Confindustria Marmomacchine member companies facilitated conditions for utilizing the following tools:
- Through its subsidiary SACE SRV, SACE provides support to members with its informative and credit-recoup services;
- Through its subsidiary SACE FCT, SACE offers members facilitated conditions in regard to the factoring services the subsidiary provides;
- Through its subsidiary SACE BT, SACE offers members facilitated conditions when underwriting BT360° global policies or SACE BT export development policies;
- SIMEST offers individual consultancy about its support services for member companies that intend, by December 31, 2019, to open business facilities such as offices, showrooms, shops or corners in countries outside the European Union.
CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE collabora abitualmente con SIMEST nel quadro di una partnership consolidata a supporto dell’internazionalizzazione delle Imprese della filiera marmifera e tecno-marmifera.
SIMEST è la società del Gruppo CDP che dal 1991 sostiene la crescita delle imprese italiane attraverso l’internazionalizzazione della loro attività. Azionisti sono Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, che la controlla al 76%, e un nutrito gruppo di banche italiane e associazioni imprenditoriali.
SIMEST affianca l’impresa per tutto il ciclo di espansione all’estero, dalla prima valutazione di apertura verso un nuovo mercato, all’espansione attraverso investimenti diretti. Opera attraverso finanziamenti per l’internazionalizzazione, il supporto del credito alle esportazioni e la partecipazione al capitale di imprese.
Confindustria Marmomacchine belongs to EUROROC, the federation of European stone industries, representing the Italian stone industry.
Within EUROROC the association represents the Italian stone sector, and with European partners defines shared positions to protect and valorize the stone industry within Community governments. Founded in 1950, the federation’s purpose is, in fact, to coordinate matters of common interest, find solutions to common problems, promote authentically natural stone as well as represent the stone industry in relations with the EU and political entities, scientific institutions and universities on the international level.
Confindustria Marmomacchine – through its subsidiary, Marmomacchine Servizi Srl – and Veronafiere have an official partnership that includes a framework agreement signed for the purpose of creating a series of projects aimed at consolidating and internationalizing the Marmo+Mac event as well as jointly organizing tradeshows abroad.
Confindustria Marmomacchine and Veronafiere also share in and promote the “Special Marmo+Mac Project”, which – in the context of special funds allocated by the Ministry of Economic Development for the Made in Italy – engages in important promotional work during the event devoted to the Italian stone/techno-stone industry, in close synergy with ICE-Italian Trade Agency.
CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE aderisce a UNI – Ente di Unificazione Nazionale
Nel quadro della propria attività di rappresentanza della filiera marmifera presso i tavoli tecnici nazionali e internazionali (CEN e ISO), l’Associazione aderisce a UNI, Ente di normazione italiano.
UNI è un’associazione privata senza scopo di lucro che da oltre 100 anni studia, elabora, pubblica e diffonde gli standard: le norme tecniche volontarie.
Nel contesto del proprio impegno allo sviluppo della Normazione Tecnica di settore, CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE partecipa tramite propri delegati ai lavori del CEN TC 246 e dell’ISO TC 327.
CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE detiene inoltre la Convenorship del WG11 del CEN TC 151.
With the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Architecture (DICAAR) at the University of Cagliari, Confindustria Marmomacchine stipulated a protocol of intent to regulate joint work of common interest, creating a strategic cooperation relationship to reciprocally integrate their respective work and, in a context of the utmost technical-scientific rigor, to develop projects useful to the extraction sector and to the environment that lead to scientific and applicative results for both parties.
The partnership aims to make operative specific kinds of work regarding topics of priority interest for the stone sector. From its creation the DICAAR has been committed to research examining the scientific bases and practical applications of mining engineering, with particular attention to the ornamental rock sector and the valorization, management and protection of the environment.

Nell’ambito della collaborazione tra FEDERMACCHINE – la Federazione Nazionale delle Associazioni dei Produttori di Beni Strumentali, a cui CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE aderisce in rappresentanza del comparto “macchine lavorazione marmo” – e SGS ITALIA SPA-Divisione GIS (Governments & Institutions), azienda leader nei servizi di certificazione, ispezione, test e verifica di conformità, è stato rinnovata anche per il 2020 la convenzione in merito alla certificazione obbligatoria a fini doganali in alcuni Paesi di Africa e Medio Oriente.
Grazie a questa convenzione anche i soci CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE potranno usufruire dei seguenti vantaggi:
– scontistica dedicata per l’emissione dei Certificati di ispezione obbligatori per la negoziazione di Lettere di credito legate al pagamento di beni destinati in Libia. Altrettanto vale per Lettere di Credito di beni industriali destinati agli altri Paesi di competenza GIS;
– scontistica dedicata per l’emissione dei Certificati di Conformità obbligatori per merci destinate in Algeria, Egitto, Etiopia, Kuwait e Qatar. I Certificati di Conformità per le restanti destinazioni sono soggette a tariffe stabilite dalle autorità dei Paesi di destinazione e pertanto non oggetto di scontistica.
– SGS ITALIA SPA-GIS offrirà inoltre la propria Assistenza agli Associati nel fornire una guida puntuale per ottenere i Certificati di Conformità e di Ispezione per diverse destinazioni. In relazione ai Paesi che lo prevedono e nelle modalità richieste dai singoli Governi, saranno fornite le opportune e istruzioni per ottenere la registrazione dei prodotti attraverso l’emissione di uno Statement of Registration-SoR. Tale procedura permetterà una gestione più snella dell’emisione dei Certificati di Conformità.

Confindustria Marmomacchine and EASYFRONTIER actively work in the context of their technical partnership to inform member companies about customs procedures and the opportunities afforded them by in-depth knowledge of the subject and, in particular, the facilitations and simplifications foreseen for “Authorized Economic Operators” (AEO) and “authorized exporter status”.
Thanks to their partnership, EASYFRONTIER offers member companies customs and similar assistance, through preliminary consultancy/orientation meetings, consultancy on how to obtain the permits and/or certifications issued by customs, and consultancy on every other import/export topic such as dual-use export control; goods origins; “Made in” labeling; customs controversies and legal representation; import and export prohibitions; Incoterms; trade intelligence.
Confindustria Marmomacchine and MECCANO work together through a consolidated technical partnership that supports the standardizing work the association does in the stone-working machinery and installations sector, with particular reference to developing Type C EN technical standards for the main families of machines and technologies produced by member companies and represented by the association’s Technical Commission.
In addition to helping the association develop the standardizing work of WG 11 CEN TC 151 (for which the association holds Convenorship), MECCANO offers member companies consultancy and technical assistance on all the subjects regarding compliance with the European Machine Directive.
MECCANO works with a Quality Management System as per UNI EN ISO 17025 and has its own laboratories that are accredited nationally and internationally. In addition, MECCANO actively collaborates with the most important international certification boards.
In order to provide the right kind of assistance service to Confindustria Marmomacchine members in regard to subjects connected with CE Marking for stone products, and to help them prepare technical support documentation for the mark itself and, more in general, for product conformity, the association has entered into technical partnership with SELM Snc.
A company specialized in the aforesaid subject matter, SELM offers Confindustria Marmomacchine members facilitated fees for its services as well as – in strict agreement with the association – personalized assistance regarding CE stone product marking and relative laboratory tests.
