Collaborative Video Communication Service: the associations’ new technical partnership with BANDYER

The pandemic has had heavy impact on a number of processes connected with international mobility and the ability to travel, in some cases making impossible work such as onsite installation, testing and maintenance, and receiving customers on company premises.

In this general context, however, video-collaboration technology is assuming a fundamental role, making it possible to adopt innovative remote solutions for assisting customers, operators and employees.

Because of this, and to offer opportunities to utilize this high-added-value service in this context, we are pleased to inform you that Confindustria Marmomacchine has signed a new technical partnership agreement with Bandyer, a specialized company able to provide a (collaborative) videocall service based on the WebRTC protocol that makes contact between a company and any interlocutor (customer, operator, prospect, maintainer, assisted) simple and fast and can be used with any device: web, mobile and smart glasses, without having to install external equipment.

Bandyer is, in fact, the only Italian company certified by Google able to offer collaborative videocalls integrated into Google Glass.

Furthermore, by getting video-communication cloud services directly from browsers there can be vertical integration into all corporate platforms and mobile apps, implemented through devices such as Google Glass or similar.

Bandyer technology is designed to support the customer assistance of member companies in essential contexts like, for example:

  • Remote assistance with direct observation of command panels and/or cutting/processing work (supplying the customer with visors);
  • The ability to test stone materials (viewing stored slabs and/or blocks and/or possible mockups by means of the video-collaboration service with Italian and foreign customers (supplying technical/commercial employees at company premises with visors);
  • The ability to create video-collaboration “rooms” branded with the company logo and with multiple participants, simultaneously involving different key people involved in the assistance/testing process and/or selection/purchase of materials;
  • Advanced functions such as a live pointer, collaborative chalkboard and call recording.

The partnership provides facilitated fees for Confindustria Marmomacchine member access to Bandyer services and members can also book a free, no-commitment demo-call with Bandyer exports.

As can be easily intuited, Bandyer collaborative videocall services simplify remote interactions, directly connecting one or more experts with the final user, reducing intervention times, avoiding useless work blocks and increasing final customer satisfaction. As well as greatly reducing potential travel costs.
