Confindustria Marmomacchine’s appeal reported by the national and international press

CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE is working ceaselessly to promote and support a prompt re-opening of the Italian stone/techno-stone industry, whose companies have been suffering too long from foreign competitors who, unlike in Italy, were not subjected to such a heavy and prolonged lockdown.

The latest effort in this constant pressure on boards and governmental authorities able to authorize the re-opening of production work was the “National protocol for the adoption in stone industry workplaces of contagion-prevention measures suited to guaranteeing the safe re-start of production work” underwritten on April 17 by Confindustria Marmomacchine, Anepla and the Feneal-IUL, Filca-CISL and Fillea-CGIL labor unions.

The news of the signing of this protocol was broadly covered by the national press as well as by the main international trade publications, even more determinedly stressing the hope that adoption of this important protocol – brought to the attention of the Italian Ministries of Economic Development, of Labor and of Health – will make it possible to move up the re-opening of sector companies, at the same time ensuring the protection of both workers and business needs in the common interest of safeguarding a sector put at serious risk by this prolonged period of shutdown.
