Italian Stone Industry Exports to China: Growth and Market Trends
According to data processed by the CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE Study Center, China remains the top destination market for Italian raw stone materials. In the first 11 months of 2024, Chinese imports of raw materials from Italy reached a value of approximately €210 million, marking a 25.8% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
The processed stone materials segment also recorded a positive trend, with imports from Italy reaching €16.4 million, positioning China as the 16th largest market for Italian-made finished stone products.
At the same time, exports of Italian machinery and equipment for natural stone extraction and processing to China saw an impressive 46.2% increase in the first 11 months of 2024, reaching a total value exceeding €10 million.
Overall, the total value of Italy’s stone industry exports to China approached €240 million during the analyzed period.
