July 5 was the date for the webinar on “The determinants of the US stone market in 2023” organized by ICE-Agency in collaboration with CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE. During the event – opened and moderated by the association’s Honorary President in charge of official relations, Flavio Marabelli – in-depth presentations were made by:
Carlo Angelo Bacchi, Director of the Italian Trade Agency-Miami
Marco Verna, Director of the Italian Trade Agency-Chicago
Fabio Giallanza, attorney with the Weiss Serota Helfman Cole + Bierman law firm
The webinar offered interesting food for thought and work hypotheses for correct positioning and consolidation on the American market for the more than sixty businesspeople participating in the event and representing many top sector brands. We remind readers that the United States is the leading market for the entire Italian stone industry: last year exports to the US of finished and semi-finished stone products Made in Italy in fact reached 512.5 million euros (+26.2% from 2021) and accounted for nearly 30% of Italy’s total exports of such products. Also in 2022 the American market set a new record for imports of Italian stone-working technologies, worth more than 208 million euros (+42.1% from the previous year) with an 18.3% share of total sector exports.
The minutes of the webinar are available to all CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE members at the association’s secretarial office: diffusione@assomarmomacchine.com.
