From January 24 to 26 CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE participated in the TISE – THE INTERNATIONAL SURFACE EVENT – tradeshow held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. For this show the association coordinated and promoted the participation of 50 Italian stone industry companies in the specialized STONEXPO section, with two collectives – one for stone materials, the other for stone-working technologies – organized in close synergy and collaboration with ICE-Agency and with valuable support from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international Cooperation. Inside the Italia Area at the show the association and ICE-Agency also provided two inviting official Meeting Points with information and assistance services for Italian companies exhibiting at or visiting STONEXPO.
We remind readers that TISE/STONEXPO is the reference event for the American stone/techno-stone sector, thanks to its ability to attract a select public of sector stakeholders, architects, designers, interior designers and North American operators in the home furnishings and building sectors. According to organizers, at this edition of the show there were some 700 exhibitors and more than 25,000 visitors.
According to the latest data processed by the CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE Studies Center, in the first ten months of 2023 the US was again the top destination market for Italian stone industry goods, with purchases of finished and semi-finished stone products worth more than 393 million euros and imports of stone-working machinery and equipment Made in Italy worth 144.6 million, for overall revenue of around 543 million, also considering raw stone products.
