Continuing its efforts to consolidate and expand its international sectoral relationships, CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE signed a memorandum of understanding with the IRAN STONE ASSOCIATION, a leading Iranian organization based in Tehran, during the Marmo+Mac 2024 event.
The agreement centers on the commitment to maintain continuous information exchange between the two Organizations to support sector relations between Italy and Iran, despite the complex and intricate framework of sanctions affecting trade with the Middle Eastern country, which remains of high interest. It is worth recalling that in the early 2000s, Iran was the top international buyer of Italian stone technology.
According to recent data from the Italian Association’s Research Center, Algeria remains consistently among the top 20 buyers of Italian technology.
