From May 15 to 19 CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE participated in the BATIMATEC 2022 show held at the Palais des Exposition Pins Maritimes in Algiers. For the event the association – in collaboration with ICE-Italian Trade Agency – coordinated and promoted a collective exhibit of 30 Italian techno-stone companies: ABRA IRIDE – ABRASIVI ADRIA – BAICCHI ABRASIVI – BM – BOART&WIRE – BOSSONG – CASSANI – COLLE -COMANDULLI COSTRUZIONI MACCHINE – COMES – D.WIRE – DONATONI MACCHINE – FAEDO INTERNATIONAL – FRACCAROLI & BALZAN – GASPARI MENOTTI TECHNOLOGIES – GIACOMINI OFFICINE MECCANICHE – LONGINOTTI GROUP – MATEC – MD DARIO – NEW POLARIS LUX – NUOVA MONDIAL MEC – OCEM – OMAG – PEDRINI – PROMETEC – SIMEC – TENAX – TESIMAG – USADI 2 – WATERJET CORPORATION.
BATIMATEC, an international building, building materials and public works event, is the most representative on the African continent, devoted entirely to building processes and technologies. This year’s edition had more than 750 exhibitors, 250 of them foreign (mainly from Italy, Turkey, Portugal, France, Spain and Tunisia) and drew some 250,000 professional visitors.
On the statistical level, in 2021 the Italian techno-stone sector (comprising makers of machinery, installations, equipment and consumables for stone extraction and processing) increased its sales to Algeria by 129% from 2020, for worth of nearly 20 million euros (data from the CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE Studies Center).
