Nearer and nearer is the 2024 edition of STONE+TEC, the sector tradeshow to be held in Nuremberg from June 19 to 22, 2024. At the last edition some 12,000 operators visited halls 10, 11 and 12 of the modern Nurnberg Messe fair complex, with more than 330 exhibitor companies – 187 of them foreign, and more than 40 from Italy – an influx that confirmed STONE+TEC’s role as a reference showcase for the German and Central European markets.
According to data processed by the CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE Studies Center, in 2022 Germany was the third-ranking market for Italian stone technologies in value terms (+10.9% from 2021), the second-ranking market for finished and semi-finished stone materials from Italy (+13% from 2021) and the fourth for raw Italian stone materials (+11.7%). Also good was the latest available figure for Italy’s exports to Germany of stone-working machinery and installations, that from January to August 2023 had revenue of nearly 40 million euros (+1% from 2022).
