With more than 190,000 square meters of display space, 2,000 exhibitors – 350 of them foreign – and more than 150,000 total visitors, the 2024 XIAMEN STONE FAIR in Xiamen, China, held from March 16 to 19, was again this year one of the most important tradeshows worldwide for the industry of stone materials, stone technologies and equipment and complementary products.
For this edition of the Chinese stone show, Italian companies were again the main stars of the big international hall. Inside the ITALIAN AREA at the XIAMEN STONE FAIR, CONFINDSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE also provided an official Italia lounge offering its customary support and promotion services plus a popular catering service for exhibitor companies and their customers. At the association’s meeting-point visitors also found copies of the 2024 DIRECTORY and the latest issue of MARMOMACCHINE INTERNATIONAL the sector magazine that’s an international reference and is sponsored by the association.
In addition to being the top country globally for extracting and processing natural stone, we mention that in 2023 China was also the main destination market for Italian raw stone, with imports worth 180 million euros (up 2.7% from 2022). Furthermore, according to CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE Studies Center data, last year China was among the top 20 markets also for semi-finished and finished stone products and machinery and equipment Made in Italy for extracting and processing ornamental stones.
