Recently\npublished was UNI standard 11812-2021 on \u201cTest methods for natural stone \u2013\nDetermining the resistance of single anchorage points of stone components\u201d. The\ndocument, written by the UNI \u201cStone pavements and coverings\u201d work group,\ndefines the test methods for determining the resistance characteristics of\nstone panels on their single points of anchorage to other building elements in\nrelation to the most common attachment methods and their respective mechanical\ncomponents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
However \u2013\naccording to UNI\u2019s announcement of its publication – the text of the standard\ndoes not include analysis of mechanical anchorage devices, generally in metal\n(carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum or others) but refers exclusively to\nattachment using mechanical anchorages that will receive loads and stress\ncoming from the stone panel and transfer them to the main support structures,\nThe test methods described include the most common types of work done on stone\npanels to enable them to take anchorage, their shapes and locations on the\npanels themselves. These test methods also refer to stresses on the stone panel\ncoming from loads, from their own weight and from actions caused by weather or\nseismic events, opportunely standardized. Also foreseen are stresses from\noccasional shocks or impacts, in other words stresses incurred by\nthermal-hydrometric variations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
