Our Association\u2019s participation in BATIMATEC 2026<\/strong> is currently underway until May 7, where CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE \u2014 in collaboration with ITA Italian Trade Agency<\/strong> and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI)<\/strong>, within the framework of promotional activities dedicated to our supply chain\u2014 is organizing an \u201cItaly Area\u201d featuring the following companies:<\/p>\n

BATIMATEC 2026<\/strong> \u2013 the International Exhibition for Building, Construction Materials and Public Works \u2013 is the most representative trade fair event on the African continent entirely dedicated to the wide-ranging supply chain of construction processes and technologies.<\/p>\n

Within the construction sector, the natural stone industry has long been at the center of attention of Algerian government authorities, which have identified a significant need for technology and know-how to support the growth of the country\u2019s industry in this field.<\/p>\n

According to data processed by the CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE<\/strong> Research Center, in 2025 Algeria once again confirmed its role as a processing country and an attractive market for raw stone products, imported from Italy for a total value of over \u20ac8 million, making it the tenth-largest global buyer of this \u201cMade in Italy\u201d product category.<\/p>\n

Including Algerian imports of \u201cProcessed and Semi-Processed\u201d stone products\u2014amounting to \u20ac2.5 million\u2014and Italian \u201cMachinery and Technologies\u201d for the extraction and processing of natural stone\u2014equal to \u20ac4.7 million\u2014the total value of Algerian imports of supply chain products from Italy exceeded \u20ac15 million in 2025.<\/p>\n
