On March 22 CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE welcomed to its headquarters\ndelegates of the Ethiopian Extraction Work Ministry led by Abraham Seyoum\nGonfa, the ministry\u2019s Senior Planning and Economic Consultant; it was a\ndelegation that also included \u2013 among others \u2013 technical consultants for the\nministry, executives of the Ethiopian Geological Institute and representatives\nof Assosa University. They were welcomed by Flavio Marabelli, Honorary\nPresident of CONFINDUSTRIA\nMARMOMACCHINE in charge of\nofficial relations and its Secretary General, Raimondo Lovati. The delegation\nwas organized in close synergy and connection with the ICE office in Addis\nAbaba whose director, Riccardo Zucconi, accompanied the Ethiopian delegates\nduring their sojourn in Italy and to the official meeting at the association\u2019s\npremises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The delegation\n\u2013 under the organizational management and technical supervision of the ISIM and\nin particular its director, engineer Paolo Marone \u2013 was given a study tour of\nthe most important Italian stone districts, where Ethiopian delegation members\nwere able to learn about and see demonstrations of the latest Italian\ntechnology for extracting and processing natural stones, and to meet with the\nmember companies participating in the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Ethiopian\nministry\u2019s mission is part of a more general cooperation between Italy and\nEthiopia in the ornamental stone sector, which began with the signing of a\nMemorandum of Understanding (MoU) in September of 2019 and was re-launched and\npromoted during a recent meeting between the Italian ambassador to Ethiopia,\nHis Excellency Agostino Palese, and the Ethiopian Minister of Mining and\nPetroleum, His Excellency Takele Uma.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
