Australian stone-sector operators visit Italy.

In the wake of the great interest shown by some of the top Australian stone businesses during the technological seminars held last year in Sydney and Adelaide (August 30/September 4, 2009), CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE and the Italian Trade commission organized – in the context of the 2010 stone-working machinery sector accord – an incoming mission of Australian operators (May 3/7) intended to strengthen business ties between companies in the two countries.

Thevisit by the Australian delegation – composed of top sector operators andg overnment representatives – opened with an institutional meeting on May 3 at CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE office in Milan andwas followed by the delegation's tour of northern Italy's main stone districts to meet with the CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE members who had participated in last year's seminars. It ended on May 7 with a final business workshop.
